Travels and Tipples has been a project of ours since 2014. We started the site to document and share our travels while living in Germany.
In 2018, we returned to our home on Bainbridge Island, Washington. In 2022, we once again pulled up stakes and moved to Mesquite, Nevada, in the southwest part of the country
It is now 2024 and Travels & Tipples is ten years old! It is time for a new look and new articles. We hope you enjoy the new and improved site.

Webmaster/Backup content writerI am retired after 32 years in the US Coast Guard. I was able to see both coasts of the US and Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, Alaska and the arctic and Antarctica. I even made several official trips to Southern Germany for engine inspections.
After retirement, I followed Patricia to Germany for her job and traveled through most of Europe.

Judgmental Looks/Party AnimalSchultzy is our international cat of mystery. He is 15 years old and traveled to Germany and back with us.
He actually hates travel, especially airports; the sight of a cat carrier means a trip to the veterinarian in his mind.
He is easy to get along with, likes being pet and getting treats.
